WRITING WEEK

Not a retreat. A home for writing.

A quiet week for writers seeking space, focus and a different rhythm.

An intimate international writing residency hosted by Mas Pujols in collaboration with A Brilliant Thing CIC (Greater Manchester, UK).

A week to reconnect with your writing

Writing Week is Mas Pujols' signature creative residency, created for writers who need something increasingly difficult to find: uninterrupted time, generous space and the calm to reconnect with their work.

Set in our rural home in the heart of Catalonia, this is not a traditional writing retreat. There are no workshops to follow, no compulsory programme and no pressure to produce.

Instead, we offer something simpler.

A welcoming home, a small community and the conditions that allow writing to unfold naturally.

Whether you're beginning a new project, developing an existing manuscript, writing professionally or simply rediscovering your creative voice, Writing Week invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in your own process.

You'll spend the week writing alongside a small group of fellow writers, including Kerry Tottingham, who will be developing her second book while in residence at Mas Pujols.

What makes it different?

Mas Pujols is not a retreat centre.

It is our home.

We open it to a small number of people who value quiet, meaningful conversation and the belief that where we are influences how we think, create and connect.

With a maximum of seven participants, everyone has the freedom to work independently while sharing meals, conversations and the gentle rhythm of everyday life together.

There is no expectation to perform.

Only an invitation to make space for your writing.

Hosted by Mas Pujols

Writing Week is conceived, curated and hosted by Gala Pujol Freixer, founder of Mas Pujols.

After many years leading creative businesses and multidisciplinary teams internationally, Gala created Mas Pujols as a place where people can step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with deeper ways of thinking, creating and collaborating.

Every element of the house—from the restored furniture to the generous shared spaces—has been thoughtfully designed to support presence, creativity and genuine human connection.

In collaboration with Kerry Tottingham

For this edition of Writing Week, we're delighted to welcome Kerry Tottingham, founder of A Brilliant Thing CIC in Greater Manchester, UK, and author of Healing-Centred Transformation: Mend, Tend and Change the Future.

Kerry will spend the week at Mas Pujols writing her second book alongside the group.

Rather than leading formal workshops, she joins the residency as a fellow writer and collaborator, sharing conversations, meals and the everyday creative rhythm that makes writing feel less solitary.

A Brilliant Thing CIC uses creativity and writing to build confidence, connection and community through storytelling—a philosophy that resonates deeply with the spirit of Mas Pujols.
