MP LAB - Work differently. Work better.

Rethinking how we work to adapt to how we live today.

The world of work has changed. We work from home, from the office and from wherever we happen to be. We constantly use digital tools, but we also need time to think, concentrate, create, talk and work with our hands.

MP LAB is Mas Pujols’ new innovation line, dedicated to exploring new ways of working, both individually and as teams.

We want to investigate what happens when we change the conditions in which we work: our spaces, rhythms, tools, techniques and methods.

We want to combine digital with analogue, individual concentration with shared work, and technology with physical space.

We are not looking for one single way to work better. We want to discover what works, for whom and under which conditions.

MP LAB is taking shape

MP LAB is still at an early stage.

We are defining its first areas of experimentation, formats and ways of working. We don't have all the answers. That's precisely why we are starting the LAB.

Our intention is to develop small experiments based on real questions and needs, test them at Mas Pujols, observe what happens and capture what we learn.

Over time, these learnings may lead to new methodologies, tools, working formats or services for individuals, teams and businesses.

Some experiments may become Mas Pujols programmes. Others will simply help us understand better what we need in order to work today.

The LAB will also be shaped by the people, questions and ideas that take part in it.

How we want to work

We will start with a specific question or problem.

We will design a way to test it, experiment with it at Mas Pujols, observe what happens and capture what we learn.

Then we will decide what to do with that learning:

repeat · modify · discard · develop

We don't want to turn every experiment into a solution. Discovering what doesn't work is useful too.

What do we want to explore?

  • Spaces — how our environment shapes concentration, creativity and collaboration.
  • Time and rhythms — how we organise the working day, breaks and periods of deep work.
  • Digital and analogue tools — how to combine technology with other ways of thinking, creating and making.
  • Working methods — new ways of organising projects, meetings and processes.
  • Individual and team work — when we need to work alone and when we need others.
  • Body and movement — what happens when we incorporate movement, rest and physical activity into the way we work.
  • Creativity and experimentation — trying, getting things wrong, observing and trying again.

From the lab to practice

The idea is that what we learn doesn't stay in the LAB.

Experiments that prove valuable may become methodologies, activities, programmes and services that we offer to professionals, teams and businesses.

But first, they need to be tested.

MP LAB is our way of beginning to explore how we can work better, adapting to our times, our rhythms and our needs.

Want to be part of the LAB?

MP LAB is open to individuals, professionals, teams and businesses who want to experiment with new ways of working.

There are different ways to take part:

  • Try an experiment — take part in a test or session we are developing.
  • Propose an idea — share a question, problem or way of working you would like to explore.
  • Collaborate — develop an experiment with us, bringing your own experience or discipline.
  • Bring your team — work with your team on a specific need or challenge.
  • Develop something with us — turn an experiment into a methodology, programme or service.

Tell us what you have in mind.
